 Let your Voice be Heard... Family Voice

We work with families to help them cultivate their voice to be heard, if it’s an IEP meeting or in court. Families have a Voice and choice, all families and youth can reach their full potential with supports and services. We promote families and youth with special needs, Mental Health and disabilities, including those of cultural, linguistic and geographic diversity, in order to improve all services and policies for children. Effective family/professional partnerships at are a key to making change. With authentic family-centered care that recognizes family as the center of a child’s life and as an equal partner in decision-making about all aspects of the child’s care. Connected and informed families are a powerful change agent. We assist families and youth with special needs become empowered self-advocates.


Peer-to-Peer Support…

Jill Hill is a Certified Recovery Peer Specialist (CRPS) in Florida. What is it? It is a person with lived experience with a psychiatric disorder and/or addiction (personally or family member), an extremely important factor is they need to be trustworthy and compatible. She believes, Peers can make all the difference in a person's recovery.

As National Mental Health America puts it…”In behavioral health, a peer is usually used to refer to someone who shares the experience of living with Peer support is the “process of giving and receiving encouragement and assistance to achieve long-term recovery.” Peer supporters “offer emotional support, share knowledge, teach skills, provide practical assistance, and connect people with resources, opportunities, communities of support, and other people” (Mead, 2003; Solomon, 2004). In behavioral health, peers offer their unique lived experience with mental health conditions to provide support focused on advocacy, education, mentoring, and motivation.”

We help families through Peer-to-Peer Support.


Support Groups…

Jill is on the Board of Autism Society of Florida, . She has support groups for parents/ caregivers/families that have children with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Contact us if you would like more information on meeting. Location and time. or (904) 376-5983.

She also helps other organizations set up support groups, speaks at support groups on various topics. If you are wanting assistance in setting a support group give us a call.


SSDI/SSI Paperwork….

Ms. Hill is a certified SOAR Processor. What does that mean? 

SSI/SSDI Outreach, Access, and Recovery (SOAR) is funded by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) and is a national program designed to increase access to the disability income benefit programs administered by the Social Security Administration (SSA) for eligible adults who are experiencing or at risk of homelessness and have a serious mental illness, medical impairment, and/or a co-occurring substance use disorder. 

Jill can help you fill out and fill for SSDI/SSI.

The SOAR Technical Assistance (TA) Center has been funded by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA).
